Collaborative Law Divorce
Like marriage dissolution, collaborative law divorce is a type of alternative dispute resolution aimed at avoiding the expense and confrontational nature of divorce litigation. It can be an attractive and economical option for divorcing couples who agree to work together toward a fair divorce settlement.

In a collaborative law divorce, each party is represented by an attorney who is a member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Ohio, an association of independent attorneys who are committed to the collaborative process of dispute resolution.

The parties and their attorneys agree in advance to resolve their differences justly and equitably, without resorting to litigation. This collaboration generally results in total legal costs that are a third of what it costs to litigate.

Divorce Mediation
Mediation is a reasonable divorce option when the parties have difficulty resolving their differences, but still wish to avoid litigation. A trained divorce mediator, often a private judge, helps establish a fair divorce settlement.

From offices in the Columbus suburb of Worthington, Ohio, collaborative law lawyer Ralph A. Kerns,  represents clients in the communities of Delaware, Lancaster, Newark, Marysville, Circleville, Westerville, Dublin, London, and Washington Court House, as well as residents of Franklin County, Delaware County, Fairfield County, Licking County, Union County, Pickaway County, Madison County, and Fayette County.
